For a middle school student, moving on to high school is a momentous occasion, and North Attleborough wanted to make sure it was celebrated.
On Friday, June 19, North Attleborough Middle School arranged a drive-thru for the eighth-graders to receive awards and certificates and bid a fond farewell to their teachers. Faculty lined up outside the middle school to wave to the students as their parents drove by the school. Many held signs wishing them luck and congratulating them on becoming high school students. A virtual promotion ceremony was held the previous day as well.
The students were just as excited, calling out to the teachers and holding signs of their own. Some had decorated the vehicles to celebrate the occasion and thank those that helped them achieve it.
